Political Party SKT Issuance Mechanism

Daftarsbmptn.com – The South Kalimantan Regional Office of the Ministry of Law participated in a National Coordination Meeting regarding the issuance of a Registered Certificate (SKT) for the Establishment of a Legal Entity for Political Parties. This meeting was organized by the Directorate of State Administration, Directorate General of General Legal Administration (Ditjen AHU), on Monday (3/11) online via Zoom.

This meeting was attended by all Regional Offices of the Ministry of Law throughout Indonesia, including the South Kalimantan Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, represented by the Head of General Legal Administration, Dewi Woro Lestari, along with staff from the AHU division and the AHU Helpdesk.

In his remarks, the Director of State Administration, Directorate General of General Legal Administration, stated that this coordination meeting aimed to establish a common understanding and strengthen synergy between central and regional units in implementing Minister of Law and Human Rights Regulation Number 34 of 2017 concerning Procedures for Registering the Establishment of Legal Entities, Amendments to Articles of Association, and Changes to Political Party Management.

“Through this coordination meeting, it is hoped that there will be no more differences in interpretation between regions regarding the procedures and completeness of the SKT document. All processes must be carried out in accordance with applicable legal provisions and the principles of transparent and accountable public service,” he said.

He further explained that the SKT plays a crucial role in maintaining orderly political party administration and ensuring that every party seeking to become a legal entity has legally and completely fulfilled all requirements. He also emphasized that Regional Offices play not only an administrative role but also a guardian of compliance with laws and regulations in the field of general legal administration.

During the discussion session, several representatives from regional offices submitted questions and technical input related to implementation in the field, including the deadline for issuing SKTs and proposals for the development of new technical guidelines to ensure a more focused and uniform SKT issuance mechanism in the regions.

The meeting concluded with a joint commitment between the central and regional governments to strengthen coordination, align steps, and improve the quality of general legal administration services, particularly in supporting the orderly and regulatory arrangement of incorporated political parties.
