Daftarsbmptn.com – The Golkar Party’s Makassar City Regional Leadership Council (DPD II) once again demonstrated its commitment to strengthening its cadre base through the Political Education and Technical Guidance (Bimtek) program, held at the Aryaduta Hotel in Makassar on December 20โ21, 2025. This activity served as an effort to consolidate the party’s internal affairs and prepare for increasingly complex political dynamics at the national and local levels.
Attended by dozens of administrators and cadres, the event was not merely ceremonial, but served as a substantial learning platform to develop cadres with integrity, an understanding of party ideology, and the readiness to adapt to modern challenges.
Political Education: The Ideological Foundation of Cadres
The Chairman of the Makassar City Golkar Party’s DPD II, Munafri Arifuddin, emphasized that political education activities are a long-term investment in the party’s strength in Makassar and South Sulawesi in general. He stated that strong cadres must have an understanding of party ideology, national insight, and the ability to critically analyze political developments.
“This political education is crucial for developing cadres with integrity, understanding the party’s ideology, and the ability to adapt to changing times,” said Munafri, familiarly known as Appi.
He added that Golkar cadres must become political actors who not only understand the organizational structure but are also able to proactively respond to public aspirations.
The political education program provided includes material on the history of the Golkar Party, the values โโof national political struggle, and political strategies relevant to socio-economic developments. This education is designed to produce cadres who not only possess organizational skills but also possess the qualities to understand the context of public policy.
Bimtek: Practical Skills in Modern Era Politics
In addition to political education, this activity also included a technical guidance session (Bimtek) specifically designed to provide cadres with practical skills in carrying out political and organizational functions. This Bimtek included effective communication strategies, the use of digital media for campaigning, and how to develop work programs that impact society.
The panel session was moderated by Andi Suharmika, SH, Deputy Speaker I of the Makassar City DPRD and Secretary of the Golkar Makassar DPD II. The panel discussion also addressed the importance of digital party branding as a political communication tool in today’s digital era especially in attracting support from the younger generation and new voters who are increasingly active on online platforms.
Participants in the Technical Guidance (Bimtek) gained practical knowledge on how to manage organizations at the regional level, understand current political regulations, and develop long-term political strategies based on the aspirations of the people. This activity is expected to improve the capacity of cadres to better prepare them for future political challenges, especially in the lead-up to the 2029 Elections.
Golkar’s Strategic Role in Local Politics
Golkar Makassar’s political education and technical guidance programs are part of the party’s broader strategy to strengthen internal solidarity and cadre readiness amidst increasingly competitive political competition. Golkar recognizes that political challenges occur not only at the national level but also at a highly dynamic local level.
Golkar cadres in Makassar are expected not only to implement party policies but also to contribute to formulating solutions to societal issues, ranging from welfare and governance issues to the party’s role in the socio-cultural life of a metropolitan city like Makassar.
This aligns with Golkar’s position in Makassar following the 2024 mayoral election, where Munafri Arifuddin, Chairman of the Makassar Golkar Party’s Regional Representative Council (DPD II), who has also served as Mayor of Makassar since February 2025, led the implementation of various city development programs through collaboration between the government and the party.
Improving Cadre Quality for the Future
Participants in the political education and technical guidance program expressed their full support for the initiative. They stated that such activities are crucial for improving basic and advanced political skills, as well as strengthening networks between party officials at various levels.
Today, political parties are required to be able to respond to the ever-changing needs of society. Political education and technical guidance not only help cadres understand their political duties but also bridge new perspectives relevant to facing an increasingly complex political future, including the use of information technology and modern communication strategies.
