Daftarsbmptn.com – The Central Java Provincial Government has prepared an ambitious agenda of 365 events throughout the year to boost regional economic growth, increase tourist visits, and strengthen the potential of local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This strategy is expected to be an effective step in post-pandemic economic recovery while simultaneously strengthening the creative and tourism sectors, which are sources of income for the community.
Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo explained that the one event every day concept is not simply about achieving numbers, but rather a systematic effort to promote economic activity in various regencies and cities.
“With regular activities throughout the year, the regional economy is stimulated, MSMEs can market their products, and local tourism increases. This also serves as a means of educating and promoting Central Javanese culture to the wider community,” said Ganjar.
The 365-event agenda will encompass a wide range of activities, from cultural festivals and MSME bazaars to creative product exhibitions, to sports activities and traditional arts performances. Several flagship events will be concentrated in major cities such as Semarang, Solo, and Yogyakarta, while other regencies will host local activities that continue to attract tourists.
One of the program’s main focuses is MSME empowerment. Through various bazaars and exhibitions, local businesses are given the opportunity to showcase their superior products, from culinary specialties and handicrafts to innovative technology-based products. The Head of the Central Java Industry and Trade Agency, Arif Wibowo, emphasized the importance of integrating events and MSMEs.
“Every event must be a platform for MSMEs to gain wider exposure to their products. We also provide digital marketing training so they can utilize online platforms,” he said.
Furthermore, this annual event emphasizes sustainable tourism. Each event is designed to promote local tourist destinations, from nature and culture to regional culinary specialties. This is expected to increase the number of domestic and international tourist visits, while creating a multiplier effect for the local economy.
Tourism stakeholders have welcomed this program. Rina Susanti, a homestay owner in Solo, expressed optimism regarding the 365 events.
“Every event is an opportunity for us to increase accommodation occupancy and promote local tour packages. With regular activities, we are confident that tourism sector revenue will increase significantly,” explained Rina.
The government is also emphasizing digitalization and promotion. Each event will be supported by a digital campaign through social media, the official website, and an event mapping application, ensuring easy access to information for the public and tourists. This technology also makes it easier for MSMEs to market their products online to visitors who cannot attend in person.
Economically, analysts assess the 365-event agenda as having significant potential to boost local economic activity. Each event is believed to absorb temporary labor, increase MSME turnover, and stimulate service sectors such as transportation, culinary, and accommodation.
“This concept is highly appropriate for post-pandemic economic recovery and promote economic equality even in small regions,” said regional economist Hendro Santoso.
Beyond the economic aspect, this event also has social and cultural value. The arts and culture festivals that are part of this agenda are expected to preserve local traditions and raise public awareness of Central Java’s rich cultural heritage. Educational activities such as art workshops, dance performances, and traditional music are part of the event series, providing a more meaningful tourism experience.
The Central Java Provincial Government has also prepared an evaluation and coordination mechanism to ensure the sustainability of this agenda. Each regency and city is given guidance on the type of event, target participants, and indicators of economic and social success. This way, even though they are spread across various regions, each event can have a real impact on the community.
Ganjar emphasized that support from the community, MSMEs, and the private sector is crucial for the smooth running of the 365 events agenda.
“This is a joint program. The government acts as a facilitator, but the active participation of the community and businesses is key to success. With good cooperation, the regional economy will grow, tourism will flourish, and culture will be preserved,” he explained.
With thorough preparation and full support from all parties, the Central Java 365 events agenda is believed to be a strategic step to stimulate the regional economy throughout the year, expand opportunities for MSMEs, and establish this province as a dynamic and sustainable tourism destination.
